The Savvy Seals was born from two things: a family I would do anything for and three people I loved deeply enough to focus on their care. The name itself tells that story, with each letter representing someone who matters most to me: my husband, my son, my daughter-in-law, my granddaughter, and my grandson. This venture is not just a business; it’s about family and compassionate care for seniors.
About Elaine
I am a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and a Senior Home Safety Specialist (SHSS), based in beautiful Sarasota, Florida. My expertise comes not just from a classroom but from lived experience; the kind that changes you forever.
My Story
I have been a caregiver for three of the most important people in my life: 💙 My Mom 💙 My Dad 💙 My Aunt, who at 97 years old, came to live with my husband and me in Florida. After my mom's passing in February 2026, our family shifted: my dad moved in with my sister and her family, while my aunt came home with us. Through every single moment—the exhausting days, the emotional weight, the research, and home modifications—I learned things no textbook could ever fully teach about providing elderly support services.
Why I Created The Savvy Seals
I created this space because I know what it feels like to navigate caregiving while feeling completely overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, unsure of what to do next, worried about costs, and wishing someone had just told you what to expect. I want to be THAT person for you. Whether you are an adult child stepping into caregiving for the first time, a spouse caring for your partner, a family trying to help a loved one age safely at home, or someone searching for the right products and home modifications, you have found the right place.
